In the north-west of Spain, Santiago de Compostela is famous for being the final destination of the path of Santiago, it preserves a cathedral from 1211, whose facade decorated with stone statues opens towards a large square enclosed by the walls of the old city. Most of her creative vein has been devoted to romantic narrations in the Castilian language. She led a life ravaged by illness and psychological problems, starting 1837, when she was registered as a daughter of strangers at the registry office of Santiago de Compostela. In 1858, ROSALIA DE CASTRO married the journalist Manuel Murguía, editor of the books written by his wife. She manifested the fear of death and the ineluctable destiny with the publication of three books of poetry, rediscovering the Galician language. She died in 1885.

Quiet village, with several restaurants and very nice views, Lerma it is a village in the province of Burgos (Spain), where you can admire important monuments dating from the 17th century. Her creations, simple and practical, are bursting with originality. Born in Lerma (Burgos) in 1970, AMAYA ARZUAGA studied design at the Politécnica University in Madrid. Then, she returned to her mother’s dressmaking workshop and in 1994, she presented her first collection in Paris.

In the southern part of the island of Majorca, the picturesque town of Felanitx is surrounded by suggestive windmills. The main square of the city, with the beautiful façade of the Esglesia de Sant Miquel, is ideal for relaxing, without losing the opportunity to taste at least one spicy sausage, made with black pork. This is the birthplace of the Renaissance architect Guillem Sagrera and of a twentieth century painter who loves to consider art as a stratification of time.

Currently, he lives and works in Paris and Mallorca, but he was born in 1957, in Felanitx (Mallorca). His nomadism influenced his work. After having studied at the Arts and Crafts School, MIQUEL BARCELO’ enrolled at the Fine Arts School of Barcelona. After his return to Mallorca, he had his first one-man show at the Palma Museum. In 1990, he designed costumes and the stage for the Opéra Comique in Paris and at the Festival of Avignon 2006.
