HE HAD TO LEARN HOW TO PLAY DRUMS AND HE LEARNED WITH THE BYRDS – Michael Clarke

He was born in Spokane in 1946. He had fled home to California when he was 17 years old, to become a musician. According to the legend, he was discovered while playing on a beach. He had never played drums and before entering the Byrds, his musical knowledge were the piano lessons, which he received from his mother in his youth.
