BITTER LOVE

“Bitter Love, purple crowned with thorns,
Bush among many passions fraught,
launches of pain, of rage, corolla
for which roads and how did you live to my soul?
Why did you precipitate your painful fire,
suddenly, between the cold leaves of my road?
Who taught you the steps that brought you unto me?
Which flower, stone, smoke you showed my home?
What is certain is that fearful night trembled,
Dawn filled all his wine cups
and the Sun established its presence in heaven,
while the cruel love, besieging me relentlessly
as long as me tearing with swords and with thorns
opened in my heart a burning Street.”

ASPRO AMORE

“Aspro amore, viola coronata di spine,
cespuglio tra tante passioni irto,
lancia dei dolori, corolla della collera,
per che strade e come ti sei diretta alla mia anima?
Perché hai precipitato il tuo fuoco doloroso,
d’improvviso, tra le foglie fredde della mia strada?
Chi t’insegnò i passi che fino a me ti portarono?
Quale fiore, pietra, fumo ti mostrarono la mia dimora?
Certo è che tremò la notte paurosa,
l’alba riempì tutte le coppe del suo vino
e il sole stabilì la sua presenza celeste,
mentre il crudele amore, m’assediava senza tregua
finché me lacerando con spade e con spine
aprì nel mio cuore una strada bruciante.”
