PAINTING WITH EMOTIONAL STRENGTH – Andrew Wyeth: the subtle, insinuating and captivating world of colors

ANDREW WYETH 1/4 – He was born July’s day, and its family was always close, spending time reading and fostering a closeness with nature. He painted in a realistic way, as a son of art, by the father. For a long time, he was snubbed by the official critics as an eccentric and solitary painter, plagued by a sentimental attachment to rural Pennsylvania and Maine.4.post.2

ANDREW WYETH 2/4 – Its father, was the only teacher that he had. He started drawing at a young age, and was a draftsman, before he could read. For fourteen years, he paints his neighbor (a Prussian immigrant women), in secret through her body, he caught her soul. The series of Helga (240 paintings), is currently owned by a Japanese company. In each of his paintings, you see the lonely life of every day, collecting a feeling that envelops everything.

ANDREW WYETH 3/4 – Its rural landscapes and artistic traditions, was developed inside shades full of sense of romance. His favorite subjects are the landscape and people of his native land. Those that thou observe, are representations di’un ambient and existence – dry and severe – where lurks a deep silence in the air.cover3.post1

ANDREW WYETH 4/4 – His wife Betsy, whom he had met in 1939, which had an influence on him, playing an important role on his career. Once she said, “I am a director and I had the greatest actor in the world”. He died in his sleep in Pennsylvania.
