ANGEL RAMIRO SANCHEZ (1974), VENEZUELAN FIGURATIVE PAINTER – Telling human stories through five senses

WHEN PAINTINGS ELEVATE REALISM TO VISUAL POETRY

ANGEL RAMIRO SANCHEZ 1/3 – He was born in Maracaibo in 1974, receiving for his extraordinary talent a musical education in Venezuela. Looking at his paintings you will see two countries – Venezuela and Italy, land where he was born and the one which formed him, because he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. Https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hb638loccps Literary inspiration is already perceptible in his early works, because he was fascinated by Schiller, Beethoven and Schubert. His works? Bare pleats and portraits full of expressiveness.

ANGEL RAMIRO SANCHEZ 2/3 – He was 14, when he began his apprenticeship with a realist painter known for his murals in churches. He revealed his artistic talent as a child, then at the age 19 moved to Italy to complete his artistic training, even using traditional techniques used by ancient masters. Among the most interesting developments of his expressive creativity is his confrontation with biblical texts. Even in scenes of biblical episodes, he values the representation of human emotions. Https://vimeo.com/83621113 His works seem to come from another time, from some of his new private horizons. To achieve the psychological state of his subject, he prefers painting from life, through precision.

ANGEL RAMIRO SANCHEZ 3/3 – To tell a human story, he believes the artist must gather information from all five senses. Looking at one of his portraits, you find that the colors are intense, and the figures have an extremely realistic naturalness. In 2003 he had already become an appreciated painting teacher. His works are sought after by collectors from all over the world. By avoiding the possible trap of prosaic-photographic photography, he has shown, that what comes with fresh varnish in an abstract age can elevate realism to the level of poetry. He teaches in Florence during the winter and in summer he paints in New York and Venezuela. http://www.florenceacademyofart.com/index.php/en/workshop-us/alphaindex/r
