Canada has been inhabited by Aboriginal people from variety of different cultures, where each of the aboriginal communities had their own musical traditions. Canada’s music industry is the sixth largest in the world, producing many internationally renowned artists, but the music of Canada gives you the diverse influences, as have shaped this country with the contribute of Aboriginals, the Irish, British and the French. 
Beginning 1630s, French settlers and explorers brought with them a great love of songs and dance. From 1815 to 1850, the Great Migration of Canada by Irish, British and Scottish immigrants broadened the Canadian musical culture. The early 2000s saw Canadian artists continue to expand their audience with global recorded contracts (such as Nelly Furtado, Avril Lavigne, Michael Bublé, Drake and Justin Bieber).
