She is Princess Hayfa bint Abdullah (daughter of late King Abdullah). Combining passion for art depths with imagination, she made her debut solo exhibition “The Starting Point” in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with art pieces she created in the past 16 years. Her paintings depict the vivid world of her imagination. Born in 1981 and based in Jeddah, she graduated from the Art Academy University in San Francisco. She have always wanted to showcase her work, but before exhibiting it was very important for her to finish undergraduate studies.Graduating in 2015, she decided that it was time to take herwork, and put it out there for people to judge.
Always, also for her, the journey of an artist requires enthusiasm and passion, in order to transform imagination and thoughts into art. She was influenced by Frida Kahlo, that sought to channel the unconscious as a means to unlock the power of imagination. Princess Hayfa, with her vibrant painting series, strived to show the bold and audacious side of Arabic culture. Her paintings retain a strong connection with the desert: portray environment and nature, air, food and peace, but – as you can imagine – those paintings also reveal the artist’s character. She find that surrealist expression taps into her imagination, allowing both her brush and her spirit to transcend traditional boundaries, speaking in a language that feels pure and central to her identity.
