In his later years, his prefered model was his studio assistant and friend David Dawson. Towards the end of his life LUCIAN FREUD did a nude portrait of model Kate Moss, becoming one of the best known British artists working in a representational style. He died in London on a July day and is buried in Highgate Cemetery.
