PAUL BAUDRY 1/4 – He was born in Paris, in a day of autumn. In the course of his residence in Italy, he derived inspiration from Italian art, with the mannerism of Correggio. PAUL BAUDRY 2/4 – Already at age 16 he attended courses at the National School of Fine Arts. The works that crowned Baudry’s reputation were his mural decorations.
PAUL BAUDRY 3/4 – Frescoes, portraits and historical paintings are the horizon of his artistic creativity. In 1865 or 1866, he began work at the Opéra Garnier, painting the ceilings of the Grand Foyer with scenes from the history of music. PAUL BAUDRY 4/4 – At the Battle of Malmaison, in October 1870, he was seen standing guard on the ramparts. Visiting Paris, do not forget, he is waiting for you in that city, because it is buried in the cemetery of Pere-Lachaise.
