AMAZING RAINFOREST HOTEL: SHAPED LIKE A VOLCANO, THAT SPEWS WATER AND IS ONLY ACCESSIBLE BY ROPE BRIDGE

You really feel like being in a fairy tale, the whole design is very playful and includes loads of natural elements. The hotel La Montagna Magica is situated in the Huilo Huilo biological reserve in Chile. The concept could not be better. It is built in the middle of a biosphere declared as a national heritage by UNESCO. Biosphere here means Patagonian wilderness. The place is extremely remote, from whatever direction you are trying to travel there.

The hotel is actually shaped like a volcano covered in moss and vines  and there is water pouring down between the windows every day. The water in these places has great purity and from the idea, of showing the energy and life of this element, born the project of a mountain, from which comes the life and contains the magic of the forest, finding in each of its details, the beings and elements that are unique and irreplaceable, what came to life the native forests.

The four-star lodge offers thirteen rooms, which are not huge, but it is understandable when you consider the shape of the building. Still there is a well-sized and comfy bed and the funniest furniture and bathroom which have ever been in a hotel. The lodge also offers a game room, reading room, mini golf, restaurant and bar and sauna.

An array of activities can be enjoyed on site or in the surroundings, including educational paths, trekkingm, fly-fishing, mountain bike and kayak course and horseback riding. And, if you’re lucky, you might catch a glimpse of a pudu – the world’s smallest deer which is just 13inch tall.At the end of the day, guests can relax in hot tubs carved from gigantic tree trunks  – as the calming sound from the waterfall cascades down the side of the building.

Flights can be arranged to the Pichol International Airport, which is the closest to the hotel. From here, it’s a 2 and a half hour drive to the lodge. In addition the Temuco airport is the next closest, at approximately three hours from the lodge. Check the prices here: http://www.huilohuilo.com/en/accommodations/montana-magica-lodge
