TRADITIONAL AND MODERN JAPANESE MUSIC

Western classical music has a strong presence in Japan (one of the most important markets for this music tradition). Listening traditional Japanese music, you can discover, that it is quite different from Western music, as it is often based on the intervals of human breathing rather than mathematical timing.

Japan is the largest physical music market in the world. The music of Japan includes a wide array of performers in distinct styles (traditional and modern).
