A WORLD FULL OF LEMONS – Vitaly Urzhumov

VITALY URZHUMOV 1/3 – Surrealism is often considered both a cultural and revolutionary art movement. The form dedicated itself to depicting the subconscious. If you compare, the main image (lemon tea), sharing a passing surrealistic resemblance to Dali’s The Persistence of Memory. He is Vitaly Urzhumov, the surrealist painter. He use the traditional technique, oil on canvas, and his love is lemons and snails.

VITALY URZHUMOV 2/3 – Vitaly Urzhumov created bright pictures filling the world with something beautiful. However, But he can’t do this very often. In the place where he live, people are not very into art and do not buy pictures. So he have to work in the office to earn for living. This work demands to him much time, that is why he paint only a few pictures a year. His work depicts lemons that litter the landscape, offer refreshment to butterflies and lend a cheerful yellow hue to the hills and beyond.

VITALY URZHUMOV 3/3 – By stripping lemons of their normal function, this Surrealist artist aimed to expose his psychological truth, in order to evoke empathy from the viewer.As Surrealist artist, he sought to channel the unconscious as a means to unlock the power of his imagination. Disdaining the rationalism, he believe the rational mind repress the power of the imagination. Vitaly Urzhumov, a young Russian surrealist painter, and started painting as a child and continued his studies in art and design in Vladivostok, Russia, where he lives.
