WHERE THE SCULPTOR OF SUGAR LIVES – Mezedes and tis oras, psarotaverna and psistaria. Welcome to the Greek nights

One of the magical moments that are enclosed inside a vacation in Greece, is a gentle reminder, like the pleasant scent of a tavern, where you wait to start your dinner. In that place that welcomes your eyes and makes your belly happy, maybe too – sometimes – you preferred drink enough, but eating only “mezedes”. Like all those who are waiting to see the night sky over Greece, in your mid evening you will have chosen your tavern under the stars, you’ll get over the pages of a simple menu, imagining tastes and smells of a stew in a casserole, or you favorite order something fresh, telling the waiter – in his own language – “tis oras”. When the night sky, is over a Greek island, when your skin has the flavor of the sea, when your face still burning, you may have had the desire for a dinner of fish looking at a fishing village your “psarotaverna”, and your table to eat what was caught that same morning. http://www.visitgreece.gr/

Sometimes, if the sky of your night is too good, perhaps you too have had the desire to be with someone who – like you – loves the colorful shades of the night, walking together toward a “psistaria”, ie a specialized tavern in broaching and grilled. Perhaps you have not forgotten that sky full of lights, near the port, where you observed broiled fish, sharing with those who were with you exquisite shellfish, along with lemon juice, olive oil and sweetness of that summer night. I hope you have kept complete memory of those moments, along with the scents contained inside the “zacharoplasteio”, (on the sugar sculptor shop), where you were going to share the exquisiteness of a honey cake, along with those who had in the eye, along to you, the joy of that night. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OvntVFQkrdU
