A WONDERFUL MOVIDA ?: When the evening overlooking the table, but only for a drink

Coincidentally, last night while I was with some friends at the bar, I listened to the conversation that took place next to our table. No, I’m not a snoop, but next to us talking so heatedly for something special. It was impossible not to hear. I had arrived by bicycle, in a bar in Milan – on the shore of Riva di Porta Ticinese – and drinking my drink, was eating potato chips, cheese and sausages. I forgot: at our table of “Mag Café”, 5 males; at the table behind ours, 5 females. In 10, we were, however, united by three things: the same “happy hours” last night, and two topics of conversation (the best seats for a “nightlife” intriguing and the Universal Exhibition in Milan). http://www.expo2015.org/en/index.html?packedargs=op=changeLang

Only this morning, thinking back to that night rowdy, I realized that a word – and a way to spend time – have become elements of daily life, anywhere in the world. “Movida” is the word, “happy hours” is the way to live a slice of life in a place intriguing. Now, I do not remember all the special places that were the subject of the conversations around those two tables, but some remained in my memory. In the north of Spain – San Sebastian – a bar in the old town, on Calle 31 de Agosto. Hotel Antoine in Paris, in the district of the Bastille. A bar in Prague, in Krymská. The choice that London has to offer in the Chelsea neighborhood, in Pimplico Road. Not forgetting Istanbul Irfaiye Caddesi. Five “movide” in five cities, the intriguing way to end a day trip (or working), a drink and munching happy hours.
