She has resided in Paraguay since 2002, dedicating her time to the creation of photographic and audiovisual projects. She has taught photography workshops in Mexico, exhibiting in Paraguay at El Museo del Barro, and participated in the first Biennial of Asunción in 2015. In 2016 Francene Keery http://www.postpravdamagazine.com/rio-reflections-paraguay/ won a contest for her essay “Retratadas desde Adentro” on the inmates in the women’s prison of Asunción.

An interest in documenting diverse cultures has lead to travels through the USA, Latin America, Caribbean, and China. Río/Reflections, is the title of the series depicting Paraguay’s rivers and shores. Exploring the endless visual and cultural delights of a small South American country surrounded by rivers. Since 2002, Francene Keery http://francenekeery.com/ have lived beside the Rio Paraguay, camera in hand. Her images reflect cultural and ecological concerns, the main subject and plot of this essay is the Paraguayan river.
