MARCELO SUAZNABAR was born in Bolivia in 1970, from an early age he had a passion for drawing, motivated by his uncle Enrique Suaznábar. Focusing on drawing as the main vehicle of his creations, he showed a interest in color. In 1988, he traveled (with his father and his brother), to the colonial city of Potosí. They spent days visiting and admiring the cultural richness expressed in both the architecture and in the collections of colonial paintings. With each new work, he undergoes a process of experimentation about what it is that he is able to say. In 1992 he traveled to Chile, where in Santiago he attended and completed course at the Art School of the Catholic University. MARCELO SUAZNABAR examines the themes that preoccupy human beings (such as the passing of time, death, sexuality and religion. He has made several individual exhibitions, in which he managed to show a good number of works. Some of these works are in Art Gallery of Durham (Durham, Canada) and Galerie Saint Ambroise (Montreal, Canada).
