TOSHIYUKI ENOKI 1/3 – He was born in Tokyo and had studies Arts and Design at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. He is a contemporary Japanese artist who works in the techniques of traditional lacquer painting (oil, acrylic, metal leaf and ink on canvas). With several different genres of traditional Japanese painting and western painting, his works are an amalgamation of the new reality and myth. He can paints a serene forest with fish who meander in the water, and the viewer gets a sense of the respect for Japanese Nature.
TOSHIYUKI ENOKI 2/3 – Very much appreciated by collectors around the world (both public and private), most of his pictorial compositions are intimate and mysterious. Using worn brushes, he paints and transfers images for his works to create a special depiction of Nature. His subjects vary from fantasy and myth, until an more straightforwardly representational (all with rich textural elements). TOSHIYUKI ENOKI 3/3 – Many of titles of his paintings, are names originating from ancient Asian Stories and Greek Mythology. His selected warm colour palette creates an overall magical depiction in his paintings. Gradually swirling into consciousness, his subjects seem to emerge from the textural surfaces, as if being distilled from a dream. Since 2008, he installs his works at the national heritage sites (like Jochi Temple, Senyu Temple and Nijo Castle). He has held numerous exhibitions (personal and collective) in his country and other countries of Asia, Europe and America.
