ines.1.1She is the niece of former Chilean president Salvador Allende. Isabel Allende is a Chilean author best known for penning novels in the style of magical realism. She born on August day, in 1942, in Peru. Allende’s novels are often based upon her personal experience and historical events and pay homage to the lives of women, while weaving together elements of myth and realism. Her best-known works, are written in the style of magic realism, which uses fantasy and myth to override time and place. During the course of her career, she has received numerous awards for her work including the Chilean National Prize for Liter. The author of Ines of my soul, tells the story of the Conquest through the eyes of Inés. The main character was born at the beginning of the sixteenth century in Spain. Equipped with a strong temperament, she married against the family’s wishes, but soon abandoned by her husband who went to seek his fortune in America. She does not give up. Working hard, she embarked for the New World, facing harsh travel conditions. In Peru, she tries her husband, but meets meets Pedro, a seductive hidalgo, fled from the frustrations of a marriage. They bring you to the volunteers guide, and going through a hellish desert fighting the natives. The tribes defend their territory, and obstinately against the Spaniards.
