CHILE ADVENTURE TRAVEL – Hatacama: the Most Beautiful Starry Skies in the World

The Atacama Desert, is a plateau in South America, covering a 1,000-kilometre strip of land on the Pacific coast (west of the Andes mountains). It is the driest non-polar desert in the world. Under optimal conditions, up to 3,000 stars can be distinguished in the night sky. This unique advantage has allowed Chile to position itself as astronomical power. http://www.adventure.travel/chile/ Light pollution in large cities means that we have lost the wonder and underestimate the beauty of the night sky. In a list compiled of 5 natural nocturnal phenomena, the skies of the Atacama Desert are considered the most beautiful in the world. The area of San Pedro de Atacama is one of the most privileged regions of the world in which to observe the night sky.

The experience can be enjoyed with the naked eye, just look upwards every night that you are in the village, north of Santiago. http://chile.travel/en/ The Atacama Desert is commonly known as the driest non-polar place in the world, especially the surroundings of the abandoned Yungay town. “Towards Atacama, near the deserted coast, you see a land without men, where there is not a bird, not a beast, nor a tree, nor any vegetation” (Alonso de Ercilla, 1569). In spite of the geographic and climatic conditions of the desert, a rich variety of flora has evolved there. Over 500 species have been gathered within the border of this desert. The climate of the Atacama Desert limits the number of animals living permanently in this extreme ecosystem. Some parts of the desert are so arid, no plant or animal life can survive.

Everyone loves to travel, but not everyone loves to travel the same way. All you have to do is have the time in your life. Meeting Benches. The way to make the world a better place is easy. Choose a bench, where you can publish what you have painted or written, a review of a book that you’ve read, or the story of a journey that you have made. Past and Present are here and now. Our proposal call any web-traveler to sit into Meeting Benches info@meetingbenches.com to share emotions, observing new creative horizons.
