The park occupies only part of the Canyon – 200 km long – that has formed over the millennia. The Palo Duro Canyon is considered one of the most beautiful in the world, for the extraordinary richness of its colors and the great variety of rock formations. You can go as you want this wonder of nature explore the canyon by foot, mountain bike, horse or car. There are more than 30 miles of hiking, biking and equestrian trails, but also camp, geocache, study nature or bird watch. This is a walk to do (with 4×4 off-road and outdoor activities), an absolute essential. In fact, it is a wonderful way to see the canyon, because you can stop in some sights, to take pictures, or to find traces of animal life and plant. Unusual rocks are found at the bottom of the canyon, called hoodoos. The tour lasts a few hours, and it is advisable to make a reservation in the morning.
