JAUME CABRE’ > Jaume Cabré i Fabré, is a Spanish writer (a native of Catalonia), but he is also a professor of audiovisual writing. Two story books, are the beginning of his stories. In 1978, he published his first novel, in which you identify the themes throughout his work: the power and the human condition. The second novel, starring a former prostitute, who lives in the Barcelona neighborhood of Sant Antoni. In the third novel, they make their appearance music and reflection on the value of artistic creation. Between 1984 and 1985, leaving the three titles that make up the cycle Feixes. THE VOICES OF THE RIVER > The voices of the river, is a novel written in Catalan by a Spanish writer, Jaume Cabré; It tells a story that takes place in Catalonia in the forties of the twentieth century and the beginning of the new century. The title of the river is the Barranc de Pamano, which flows on the southern slopes of the Pyrenees. A teacher, who moved to live with her husband in a mountain village, found in a primary school a metal box, containing four handwritten notebooks. A master, in those pages, tells his life, a daughter he never knew. Little by little, the teacher is able to reconstruct what happened in Torena, in 1944.
