HUG – Poetry, by Blaga Dimitrova

HUG

Heart to heart. And breathe in the breath. So close to me, so as not to see you. Over your shoulder, I saw in the distance a dark mountain. I was stretched out in a rush, as if to pass you. I felt the pounding heart beat of the stars. I welcomed the wind out of breath, covered with leaves. I warmed up to the shadows of the woods, which were meeting, and the branches that opened to embrace the night. The distance I breathed in a huge gulp. I pressed the wind, clouds and stars to my chest. And in the narrow circle of a hug, I locked up the infinite whole of the world.
