WHEN REALITY INDUCES – Silvestro Lega and its pictorial nuances, inside psychology perspective and bright colors. SILVESTRO LEGA 1/4 – He was born in one day in late autumn (the third of eighteen children), and will become one of the greatest exponents of the movement of Macchiaioli. At the age of 17, he moved to Florence to enroll at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. He, in 1848, as a volunteer at the first war renaissance of his country, not yet born. SILVESTRO LEGA 2/4 – His first painting was born in 1850. At age 32, he abandoned painting purist, to approach the realism (along with love for Virginia), opening the most important seasons of his creative life.

SILVESTRO LEGA 3/4 – At the age of 44 years, two shadows obscure his life (his wife’s death, along with an eye disease). Looking at what he has painted, do not forget that the nuances of its colors, are a poetic serene daily feelings. Often, his creative horizon are women and children, in scenes of everyday life and naive. SILVESTRO LEGA 4/4 – What you observe, it is the attractive, well-interpreted his real world. Do not forget – observing his paintings – that his career is in tune with the historical events of the Italian second half of the nineteenth century.
