GO SONG – Poetry by Paul Verlaine

gosong2.2GO SONG > Go, song, flies in front of her, and tell her that my faithful heart is kindled a ray of joy, dispelling holy light, the darkness of love: distrust, doubt, fear, and here it is the big day! Long fearful and silent, you hear? The joy, as lively lark, sang in the clear sky. Go therefore, naive song, and without any futile regret is welcome, the one who finally returns.

A lungo timorosa e muta, udite?
