SPANISH SHADES ON PAPER: Poems, by Jesús Díaz Armas

SOLO SED

Solo sed

hombre y canto

y el peso insoportable del vacío

hace falta la piedra

la palabra certera

que alcance el mundo y rompa su sentido

que exprese lo innombrable

o que vuelva vencida y muda

sosegada por fin a dar consuelo.

SOLOSED.1.1SOLOSED.1.1ONLY THIRST

Only thirst

Man and singing

and the unbearable weight of the empty

Needless stone

accurate word

to reach the world and break their sense

to express the unspeakable

or return expired and molt

calm finally give comfort.

PRESION

Presión

leve

punción

breve

sobre el muro la página

la herida exacta

golpe

arañazo

sobre mí mismo.

PRESSURE

Pressure

mild

puncture

brief

on the wall page

the exact wound

knock

scratch

about myself.

MUJER SIN ROSTRO

Mujer sin rostro voz ni nombre

convocada por quién hasta mi sueño

qué vienes a decirme de qué orilla qué tiempo

regresas trasmutada o vienes a encontrarme

cómo debo leerte mujer signo

a qué has venido vuélvete al deseo.

FACELESS WOMAN

Faceless woman voice or name

convened by who to my dream

do you come to tell me what time shore

you return transmuted or you come to meet

how should I read you sign woman
