THE DEEP NIGHT: Poetry, by Forough Farrokhzad

THE DEEP NIGHT

I speak from the depths of the night,

from the depths of darkness,

and from the depths of the night.

I speak,

if you come to my house, man.

Bring a light and a window,

I can look through,

the happy crowd in the alley.
