AFTER DARK: Novel, by Haruki Murakami

AFTER DARK

Imagine you’re in Tokyo, imagine walking in the streets of a neighborhood that begins to live the arrival of the night. Imagine the insignia of bars and night clubs, on until dawn. Fine. Inside that darkness, it is interwoven the story of some people, involved in a case of violence. Imagine a hotel, where a prostitute was beaten by a client. Next to this story, flowing life of Mari, a student in search of solitude. She is in a nearby cafe, where is reading a book. A young jazz musician, wants to talk to her, but this is not possible. Mari, will meet – against her will – with an environment alien to her, but talking to people, finding the courage to speak of its family story. Never look at the TV, because from it you could be swallowed.
