BLOOD: Poetry, by Carmen Boullosa

BLOOD

CARMEN1.1If it is the moon that governs the tides, what strange star controls the blood of our two different bodies? It is a star that your eyes can not see, not even mine, it lives hidden by the moon and the sun. His subject cruel plays with the signs of its particles, without fear to get in danger of bursting, or change shape, become once again minimal parts, asteroids into different orbits or dust, scattered dust pilgrim. A star absurd. It is because of him that my blood tends toward your. If they do not show any inclination towards me, then, it is that you’re in the lead mine, that you are my moon. You the one that controls my tendency. Through your veins do not burst circulates this dull sense, your blood limestone.
