SPARGI AND LA MADDALENA SARDINIA: In the Museum of Time and Wind, in the colors of blue and turquoise

After a wonderful night and a wonderful sunrise, we start from Santa Teresa di Gallura to Palau, to board the ferry that takes us to the island of La Maddalena. No, unfortunately the camper has gone faulty, but – cautiously – to the inside of his trunk capable, I had stowed our Vespa 300ie, the one that has the color of the night. About 25 km and a half hour of time to get to this island in the north-east of Sardinia, to our first and second appointment of the day painted blue: the Beach of Cala Corsair and Cala Conneri of Love.

41 ° 13? 50.61” N – 9 ° 20’38 .14” E. We arrive at Cala Corsara in the small Island of Spargi, with a small boat rental outlet, looking for its small 4 beaches full of dunes, where they open to our travel diary, and we can draw the rose and the lily of the marine environment, but also the brooms, junipers and rock rose. On the western side of the small island, we observe the granite sculptures of an old artist and his assistant, the Wind, Time. Perhaps, we cannot find – inside the box of our colors – shades of turquoise and emerald, what the sea gives us, those that we capture in pixels of emotions. No, I did not wear oxygen or bottle sand-snorkel, but – as you can see – the seabed is full of people who love the sport diver.

41 ° 14’19 .91” N-9 ° 21’27 .31” E. The Isle of Spread gives us her second preciousness, Cala Conner. Backdrops that slope gently into the sea, beach ideal for children, but even here, we observe many sports enthusiasts underwater. Almost impalpable sand, surrounded by rocks, those where Mother Nature has placed juniper, rosemary and wild lily, for us. As you see, I am forced to squint my eyes, because in this day full of sun and light, the sea surrounds my eyes with an intense emerald color. Strange island, sheltered from the wind, away from any existential anxiety.

We’re back on the island La Maddalena, again we take the ferry – the same as this morning – to spend what’s left of the afternoon at our third gem of the day, the Bear of Palau, in the Little Peninsula Capo d’Orso. 41 ° 10’16 .25” N-9 ° 24? 56.16” E. With a path of half a kilometer, we arrived where the time and the wind have carved a plantigrade who loves the sea, because the sea is that he is watching, while we observe him. We are 122 meters above sea level, but that rock by the ancient charm (also cited in the marine pilot books), it’s really visible from the sea. The granite rock from the yellow-golden, silent, it appear to observe the human samples around her, exercising the mysterious charm of all time, one that was able to create dramatic shipwrecks, but also the recovery of what about those remains visible in the Naval Museum “Nino Lamboglia”, in La Maddalena.

See you tomorrow, for the continuation of our trip to Sardinia, in turquoise or emerald. You choose.
